Nice view of the lake and a storm moving away from it. Myakka has beautiful weather this time of year. The resurrection ferns start to come back with these first rains and everything gets green. Summer has officially started when the clouds start looking like this.
The wildlife was everywhere too. Every 30 seconds there would be a huge explosion out in the lilly pads. Must have been bass or a big gar - it was pretty impressive. I even saw an alligator eat a poor defenseless turtle. He really had to chew to make that work!

The demographic is interesting too - it's 50% hippies, 50% preppies - makes for some classic parties at the facility. They are ALL serious racers though.
