I’ve been photographing stills and shooting video for the Sarasota Sailing Squadron trying to get nice photo and video for their print and web. After a pretty windy shoot and while lamenting the boring sunset at the Squadron I visited the Salty Dog to think about how bad the pictures were. While sitting there I saw the Mote Marine boats looking really nice in the fading twilight. I took this shot which really captures some of the history, marine biological awesomeness and overall coolness of the Mote facility.

The Building Museum in DC is little known but one of the best. We saw an amazing exhibit about the modern ruins of Detroit. This place is just cool.
